    Hi,

So I am having issues syncing a final audio file with the picture locked movie. I’m using FCP 6 while the sound designer used Cubase 5.

The sequence video is running at 29.97 fps. The sequence audio is set to 48 kHz 24 bit, which is the same as the exported .wav file. When I match some of the earlier lines up, they seem to sync relatively well, but it starts to drift after a few minutes and by the end is totally out of sync.

My impression is that somewhere in the process, the .wav file is not being read properly. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great. Thanks!

More than likely the mixer worked at 24fps when he should have been working in 23.98/29.97. Video speed, not film speed.

Try this: put a 99.90% speed effect on your audio file and see if that fixes it.

Yes. Delete all the wave files out of your project. Then enable an easy setup that directly matches your seuence by hitting option-q. save and quit FCP, relaunch your FCP project. Reimport your wav files.

    Should be in sync now.
