  • Audio source – pan vs. stereo file

I know this is a basic question, but please indulge me:

The audio files I received from client are just playing from left speaker. They were recorded as stereo files. My first thought was they were panned left, but changing the panner balance in the Effect Controls panel essentially “mutes” the audio.

Under the Modify Clip, it says Source Channel, Left.

Could someone please give me a leg up on how to modify these clips to be two channels, Left and Right?

    Thank you so much.

I think I’ve solved it: Effects – Fill with Right with Left.

    Just to confirm….

    you have stereo source file…

they recorded on only one channel…

and you wan that same audio to be on left and right?

if that’s true….then your workflow will solve it.

it’s also possible to map the source in the project panel so that the one channel feeds both channels so u won’t have to add the effect after the fact….but your way works too..
