Anyone ever experience their audio suddenly and abruptly disappearing in a clip about 1/2 way or 3/4 of the way in?

Sometimes on some of my audio clips (whether it be associated with a video clip or not), the audio just stops, and is blank for the remainder of the clip.

If I play the clip in another program outside of Premiere (like Quicktime or SoundForge), it’s all there. Premiere just decides it doesn’t want to play the entire audio portion.

I’ve since learned that if I delete the project’s associated Media Cache contents (i.e., the .pek and .cfa files) and re-open the job, the audio gets re-conformed, and usually is ok.

So, I must assume there’s an issue with Premiere’s conforming process that sometimes results in a dropped audio clip here-and-there.

    Anyone else notice this?
