  Audio reference monitor?

  Hi guys i am looking to purchase audio reference monitor i am looking M-Audio AV 40 V2 or any of the ones here. I will be using it with pro tools for sound fx and voice overs.

  I have mac pro 2009 with on board sound card, should i get separate sound card. I am amateur so i really don’t need high end equipment.
