I am having problems with audio when rendering out a particular comp in a project. When I render and play it, I can’t hear the sound, even though I can see it is there on the audio bar. Also, when I scrub the CTI over the audio I can hear it is there.

I have other comps in the same project which use the same audio file and I can hear them fine when I render them out and preview them.

    Has anyone got any suggestions?
    Would appreciate your help.

    Thanks
    A

    Hi dave,
    Thank you for responding.
I suspect I didn’t explain myself properly (which is no great surprise!)
I mean when I RAM preview on the timeline or when I press the period (.) button I can’t hear it. It is the right file type and I have the audio button on in the time controls panel.
The other comps that I have in the same project have the same audio file on and I can hear it fine when I do a RAM preview of these, so I’m not sure why it doesn’t behave the same way on that particular comp.

Try this and tell us what happens:
    1. Render the bad comp.
    2. Render a good comp.
    3. Open and play both movies in Quicktime Player.
    4. Tell us: which plays audio? Which shows the little audio bars at the bottom right corner? What does the QT info show for the tracks for each movie?
