Audio problem with replacement LHi
Sometimes (but not all the time) my audio gives me a static sound (sort of like the sound you get when an old tv went off air) when I stop the playhead. This sound is only for a second but it sounds pretty bad. I am monitoring through the LHi. My previous LHi had green distortion so AJA quickly sent me another one (great customer service by the way). The new card works well except for the audio problem. Does anyone have any suggetions? What do the different playhead sync. settiings in FCP change, I think it’s off, gang, and open. What do they do?

Just had this issue last week. Exact same thing. Look for my other posts.
Don’t know which of the following fixed the problem, but I did all of them, and the static is no longer a problem:
1.) I moved the Kona LHi to slot #4.
2.) Reinstalled OS 10.5.8
3.) Donwloaded and installed LHi driver v6.0.5 NDD (Don’t use the other one – it’ll screw up you monitors if you’re using the wrong video card)
4.) Reinstalled Final Cut Pro 6.0.6
5.) Repaired disk permissions on hard drive.
Pain in the butt, but it did the trick. Let me know if you’re successful. I haven’t had the static burst since.
