  Audio problem when capturing miniDV

  So, I captured some footage from a miniDV tape into FCP X, and when I watched to footage, the audio was off, first by 1 second, then when I recaptured, 5 seconds. HOWEVER, when I captured the same footage in iMovie, it was fine. But I have separate audio tracks that I need to work with, and iMovie just blended all the tracks into one. Any ideas on why the capture into FCP X was off? Thanks for your help
