    Hi,
I have a problem with an audio file I’m using in premiere. I have a footage that I want to play with a background music, I created a file in garage band (already tried both mp3 and aif files) and when I import to premiere and put it on the sequence the sound is weird it seems is out of the correct pitch i guess, the notes of the guitar don’t seem right and it is a bit slower. The files are both fine and even when I play it on premiere in the imported files section for preview it plays correctly.
My sequence is HDV 720p30 and i also tried with 720p24 it has the same problem.

    Can anyone help?
    Thanks

have you tried looking into the audio section of the sequence you created. it maybe of some other rate or 5.1 surround. i dont know exactly but i would look for a stereo channel audio sequence try and match the properties of the mp3 to your sequence.

Did you ever figure this out? I’m having the same problem in CS5.5 importing to PP from Garageband.

All my music plays significantly slower, and so the pitch is significantly lower, in the timeline. I swear it wasn’t doing this earlier today… Ideas? The music is 48kHz and so is the timeline. Thx, -s

The problem I had was that when Garageband was open and I was playing my movie in Premiere, the sound was slower and it was jumpy. When I closed Garageband, it was fixed. The problem I’m having now is that one of the files I imported from GB won’t even play, unless nothing else is playing with it. (i.e., a voice over)
And all extra audio files have to be on track 7, don’t know why. The GB file plays on track 7 too, as it is by itself there.
