Hi, I’m using v5 and dvda encoding the audio for standard AC3 DVD (default).

my receiver on the home system is a sony and the setting for audio is PLII MOV.

I would assume that other home systems would be for home theatre.

The audio from my DVD’s is only coming from the rear channels I’m sure that I have even chosen AC3 Stereo DVD.

What am i doing wrong or is will the user end to have to set their equipment for the front two channels only, seems like I’m doing something wrong or something is set incorrectly on my rendering options.

    Advice?

    thanks Wayne

correction on the audio from the rear only, it’s from the rear and center.

There is no audio on the front L or R.

With a stereo mix, it not uncommon to hear mainly out of the center channel speaker when your receiver is set to Dolby Surround depending on how you have your surround mix set up on your receiver. I’m not sure why you would be hearing it from the rear channels. Do all DVD’s sound this way or just the ones you encode?

i checked my settings in the audio properties and they are set for stereo DVD (L&R)

I have no clue why my receiver is sending them out of the rear

The receiver is set for Dolby digital surrond sound – unless my amp is doing something wierd?

I would think that if it was your amp you would get the same results with other DVD’s besides the ones you are encoding. Not sure what it could be if you are encoding with the stereo DVD setting.
