Audio plug-ins

December 22, 2020 at 11:46 pmWith all of the holiday specials going on, now’s a good time to pick up audio plug-ins if you want or need some. Both Waves and iZotope have all sorts of deals. Personally I’m a fan of iZotope’s products and there’s a “Holiday Bundle” for $49 that’s a collection of the Elements (“lite”) versions of Neutron, Nectar, RX, Ozone, plus others.
Typically audio plug-ins install as AU and VST on Macs or VST on Windows. So they are good for Premiere, Audition, Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, etc.
I discussed some of these a while back on the blog:

December 22, 2020 at 11:57 pmThe various plugins from Voxengo are my favourites for dynamics like the Elephant Limiter, Voxformer vocal channel processor and the Polysquasher mastering compressor. I have relied on these to deliver great sounding mixes for many years. I also use iZotope for noise reduction and other rescue jobs. They are having a 25% reduction sale till the end of the year
