Audio playback mystery with FCPX and Compressor
Hi all.
I recently updated to final cut 10.2.3 and osx 10.11.6 on the same day.
I have been editing last week h264 footage shot on a c100. I created a share/send to compressor (4.2.2) default and output some h264 video with aac audio; 5 mov files from the same shoot.
They all played back smoothly and I sent to the client.
But three other people I am filing to all say that the audio is cutting out at certain demarkable points on their macbooks – 3 of the 5 files, in fact, at a couple of points (always the same point), before playing audio again.
I am stumped. I’m totally unable to replicate. I uploaded one to vimeo and played the file – it’s fine. I redownloaded one from dropbox (where I had filed it to them) on the tiny chance that was the issue…and it played too – both quicktime player and VLC
What the heck’s going on? Has anyone had anything like this? The only thing I can think of is that through the software I have on my machine some codec in the depths of the file will play on my machine but not elsewhere…but that sounds wack anyhow. Any ideas??
Sorry, there were no replies found.
