Audio out of Sync FCP 5 on Macbookpro
Please can someone help?
I am trying to import a DV tape shot on a sony 3ccd camera. The camera I am using to import is a sony HDV-HC1. On the Camera I hav set it to DV not HDV. I am using FCP 5 on a Macbook pro with an external firewire drive connected via a firewire hub (see below for exact spec).
When I import video I get the error message that “the audio sample rate of one or more of your captured media files does not match the sample rate of your source tape” and that this might cause audio and video to be out of sync. On reviewing the captured file this is inded the case. The capture preset is currently set to “DV Pal 48Khz” and the device control to “Firewire Pal”.
My question is how can I make sure the audio sample rate of the capture preset matches the sample rate of the tape? and does anyone have any ideas of how to remedy this problem.
Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Nate
