  • Audio Ouput Question: when i go to dual mono i lose my mix

Hi guys, I hope someone can help me out here.

I have mixed my FCP Sequence… all the levels are great. i now want to print to tape a unmixed version with the voice over on channel 1 and everything else on channel 2.

    so…

    1. I went into Sequence Settings > Audio Outputs> Grouping > Dual Mono
    2. I went back to my Sequence and sent the over tracks to channel 1 and the rest to channel 2.

the only thing is… is that now all my mixed levels are peaking in the red… how do i keep the volume setting same?

Select (highlight) ALL of the audio tracks at once.

Then choose Modify (menu) > Levels > -6 (relative) > OK.

If -6 is not quite right “undo” that command and choose a different level setting.
