    HELLO TO ALL…
SORRY FOR THE CAPS IN THE MIDDLE OF A RENDER. QUICK QUESTION; I HAVE A SONY HDR-FX1. CLIENT WANTS TO SHOOT 1080i FOR AN INTRO TO HIS WEBSITE W/ GREEN SCREEN EX. http://WWW.LIVEONPAGE.COM I TALKED WITH THE PEOPLE THERE AND THEY SAID USE THE 1080I FORMAT AND SAVE IT TO A HARD DRIVE/ SOLD STATE DRIVE. WELL THE SONY DOESN’T DO THAT AND I ASKED IF IT WOULD BE THE SAME IF I DID A CAPTURE NOW ON MY IMAC AND SAVED THE FILE THAT WAY. THEY CLAIM TAPE COMPRESSES THE VIDEO TOO MUCH. SO I DID A TEST RUN AND RECORDED MYSELF AND THE PICTURE CAME OUT FINE AND KEYS WELL. BUT THE AUDIO IS OFF BY ABOUT 3-4 SEC. I AM USING FCP 5.4 AND AFTER THE CAPTURE THE CLIP WON’T PLAY BACK, GET AN ERROR MESSAGE. ANY IDEA’S ON HOW TO GET THE AUDIO RIGHT THE FIRST TIME?

    1. What are our capture settings?
    2. What kind of error do you get?

I am using the Apple HDV 1080i60 preset which uses the sony HDV firewire. The thing is, in the viewer the video plays back fine. Audio is synced up right and video does not stagger. When I drop the video in the time line it start up for half a second then the drop frames window pops up. I have attached what it says. And I have tried to change the unlimited rt to just rt, and nothing. Not sure what it wants me to do with the rest.

Thanks for any guidance you can give me
    Chuck
