  Audio not playing in “Clip playback” window

  I’m new to DaVinci Resolve. When I’m editing if I select a clip from the media pool and it opens in the left window the audio plays. When I select a clip from the timeline and it opens in the left window the audio doesn’t play. Is there some setting I’m missing?
