I have several video clips taken indoors and outdoors with the on-camera mic where someone is speaking at a bit of a distance from the camera so the volume of their voice is very low. I want to increase the volume of the audio track but then of course I also increase the volume of background noise. For this reason I’m looking for a good noise reduction add-on for Vegas 6. I have been researching and trying out several different plugins but can’t quite decide which one is best. I’m looking at Soundsoap 2 (Soundsoap Pro is too expensive), Newblue FX Scrubbers, and Sony Noise Reduction 2.0 (this one’s a bit expensive too). Can anyone make a rercommendation based on using these or maybe others? I might consider the Sony version but only if it is a whole lot better than the others. Also, there doesn’t appear to be a trial version of Soundsoap 2 available, does anyone know of one?
    Thanks

You might also want to try the noise reduction in Audacity – and its free. Just Google audacity.
