Errr thanks,but as I say I did and couldnt find anything about it.. any more details as where in the menu..

Menu Audio Set> Audio Output> Monitor CH.

ah! many thanks.. I did see that but thought it was just for playback? that will also work for real time monitoring from the mini jack plug..?
