Audio Massively Distoring
Hey guys,
I have two seperate audio tracks that I’ve combined into one audio file. Originally one track was music and one was a VO recording that was taken from the internet. The mixdown of the audio tracks took place in AVID Media Composer 12.
When I bring the audio into AE, the music plays fine, but when it gets to the part where the VO starts, the audio begins to distort making these werd distoring sounds… I’ve tried exported a WAV, AIF, and a MOV audio file, but AE keeps playing it wrong… What’s going on? Can someone help me out here? Any help would be greatly appricated.

Are you importing MP3s into AE? If so, convert them to WAV or AIFF before importing them into AE. QT Pro will do it.

I’ve imported every format I can think of
mov, aif, wav, and mp3… they all screw up when the vo begins.-R

Does the audio sound fine just before you import it into AE? Say, in QT player?

When the file was raw and by itself, it was distoring.
When I brought it into the AVID it was fine. When I play it after I export it, it’s fine. Once I bring it into AE, it’s messed up… only when the VO begins. -
Hm. If the file is a mixdown that sounded fine in QT player before importing into AE, and it’s a self-contained WAV/AIF/MOV … it should sound fine in AE.
Have you tried different audio compression schemes?
