Had a meeting yesterday with the owner of HPX 200. I am going to do some audio work with this camera in the future, feeding it fom my 302 mixer. Found no problem changing the inputs to the xlr’s at line level. I have a question about the on screen audio monitor level indicators ? There are two bigger hash marks, can someone tell me what these levels are, I am sure one is probally a -12 db. Thanks, the ownere was not sure and I could not find it in the instruction manual.

    Thanks
    Tom

If it’s the same as the 500 (and I think it is), at a head room of -20dB, the first bar is -20dB, the second -12dB, and the last one is 0dB.

[Brad Neal] “If it’s the same as the 500 (and I think it is), at a head room of -20dB, the first bar is -20dB, the second -12dB, and the last one is 0dB.”

To expand on what Neal said…

From Barry Green’s book, “The first bar denotes – 20dB, and the second denotes- 12dB. Each dot corresponds to 2 dB of signal strength. Absolute peak is at 0dB and should be avoided…The graph will show a red mark at its rightmost edgewhenever the audio “peaks.””
