  Audio Levels and Compound Clips

  Hi,

  I’ve observed some rather odd audio level behaviour with compound clips and was wondering whether anyone has noticed something similar.

  My project is a set of compound clips. **Within** each compound clip I have set the audio levels to an appropriate level and verified through the meter for each audio clip.

  However when I play the compound clip at the project level, the levels are lower (by almost 6dB) than when I play the same at the clip level.

  Even more strange is that if I break apart the compound clip, the audio levels remain at the “lower” values.

  I’m sure I am missing something very basic here, so would appreciate any pointers you may have.
