  • Audio lagging of video rendered with vegas pro when watching on mobile.

    Hello CreativeCow community.
    1. When I render a movie with Vegas Pro (13, 14) the audio and video is well synchronised on a computer, but lagging on mobiles (playing on youtube). Why that and what can I do to prevent this? Can I clench the audio to the video somehow or is vegas doing that by itself?
    2. Sometimes, depending on the computer, the audio lags even there. Why?
    Thank you for your time.

    Hi,

How is the lag like? Is is constant, for example 0,5 sec off through the whole video, or is it crawling, so when the video starts, it is in sync, and slowly gets out of sync?
Does this: “sometimes on computer” mean always the same computer with same player software, or different computers, with different players mean? If it means the latter, is it possible, that they have the same player software? (In that case I’d blame the player).
“On mobile” means all mobile including iphones, and android devices, or just one specific brand/model?
Did you try to play that video on other mobiles?
Did you try to play other videos on that specific mobile? (Do they also lag?)

    Best regards

    Hello
Thank you very much for your kind response. I am really sorry that my answer comes so very late.
I put my answers in your text:

How is the lag like? Is is constant, for example 0,5 sec off through the whole video, or is it crawling, so when the video starts, it is in sync, and slowly gets out of sync?
    – it is constant until I stop the video and hop to another position

Does this: “sometimes on computer” mean always the same computer with same player software, or different computers, with different players mean? If it means the latter, is it possible, that they have the same player software? (In that case I’d blame the player).
    – it happens on different computers with different players, depending on the internet connection I think

“On mobile” means all mobile including iphones, and android devices, or just one specific brand/model?
    – different models, depending on the internet connection probably

Did you try to play that video on other mobiles?
    – yes

The main problem is: I don’t see why the sound is hopping behind the image. Shouldn’t both be stuttering in the same way? Aren’t sound and image linked together?

    Have a good week
