    Audio Issue

    Im brand new to AE so I am probably neglecting something obvious.But I cant hear any audio on my CS5 Project.
    Im trying to scrub the track pressing and holding the ctrl key, and I cant hear a thing, the audio icon is selected, and yes the speaker are on and the volume is also up, so im not sure what I might be missing?

    The audio panel shows no activity when I scrub or play, I can see the wavefomr which seems to be a very low sound but I have tried different audio files and still cant hear a thing.

    I have never had to use audio in AE before so im not sure what to so any sugestions.

    ok so I can hear it if I preview it using the period key on the numeric pad but I cant scrub it, is scrubbing not the ctrl key?

    thank you Dave I knew it had to be basic.. Ears down, tail btw my legs and back to work.
