Whenever I bring audio into a Premiere project it sounds hot when played on the timeline. I have to lower the levels on the timeline, but I still can hear the over modulation at times. If I play the audio file by itself, outside of Premiere, it sounds fine. These are audio tracks ripped from CD using CDex…converting it to a wav file. I have my Premeiere audio settings at 48k. Does premeire tend to boost audio levels on this type of file? It does not happen with audio that is part of a video clip. Any ideas?
