    Hi,

Please help. It seems like the audio files I import are shorter (faster) than the file actual is outside of FCP. I’m working on a 24fps 1080i timeline. I tested this by exporting an AIFF file of the timeline, reimported it and it isn’t the same length of audio, it’s shorter.

    Any help would be great.

Delete the audio, then you need to select a 24.0 easy setup. Quit FCP, Open FCP, then reimport the audio.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Do you know what is happening in this case?

Also, I have already edited my show. So I’m wondering if every audio file I imported was faster than it should be.

[Ryan Vanderbek] “Do you know what is happening in this case? “

For some reason when you import an audio file, it sometimes gets tagged with a frame rate of whatever FCP’s easy setup is set to. I don’t know why or how this happens. If you delete the audio file out of the project, reset the proper frame rate easy setup, quit FCP, reopen fcp and reimport the audio file, it should work, at least that has been my experience.

Sorry I don’t have a more definitive answer.
