Hi,
I’m not a big Premiere guy rather animator with Max and AE.
I’m working with Premiere Pro CS 2 and am trying to figure out how to boost audio that was recorded very low.
Even with the mixer all the way up the levels are at -8. I have several clips that were shot with the same audio level and would like to apply the volume effect to all of the simultaneously but don’t know how. I read in the manual that you can add the effect to the level in the mixer but it’s making no sense as to how. The vagueness of the manual is getting on my nerves a bit.
Any help?

Right click on the audio clip in the timeline. Select audio gain. Enter a db valuer, or click the normalize button (which will add enough gain to bring your highest peak up to 100%). Note that this affects the waveform, as well as the level (which the rubber band and the volume filter do not). This is generally a good thing, as it makes the waveform easier to see.

Thank you! I’m having an incredibly frustrating time with this video. I got all my levels equaled out and having the music softly playing in the BG and everything sounds great but when they try playing it at a hall I still get “the audio isn’t loud enough”.
Appreciate the help.
