    Greetings,

I recently recorderd a voice over for an “on-hold” message for a phone system. The WAV file I created sounds good when played through my computer speakers, however, the phone system seems to distort/amplify any “s” sounds. Is there a way I can reduce this in Vegas? Perhaps reduce a frequency using eq settings? Thanks in advance for your replies. I appreciate the feedback.

You want to use the Sony Multi-Band Dynamics FX with the preset [Sys] Reduce loud sibilants (de-esser). Use it only on the sections that are problematic (not the whole file). This is best done in Sound Forge where you have greater control.
