  Audio hardware for surround

  Hey!

  Just beginning to wanna dive into soundtrack pro surround features.

  It says in the manual that it supports only certain kinds of audio i/o devices for surond – something about that the surround signal needs to be computed on the fly before rendering…. or something.

  Anyways:

  Audio card ( firewire ) ? That allows me to monitor surround and input a few sources as well…..?
  ( Motu ultralite forewire? )

  Even better: Could someone give me a complete “shopping list” for the card and speakers… guess they should be ative speakers so I can hook them straight into the card , right? Budget limited to apprx 4000 – 5000 USD…. is that way to low?
