Audio FX pre-sets in Vegas 6
What happened to them? Use to be when you clicked on the green fx icon a “Track noise gate”, “track eq”, “track compressor” interface would show. Now that familiar face doesn’t show up.

What DOES show up? Perhaps you’ve delete those three and saved that as the new default?
Remeber you can always hold down CTRL-SHIFT while starting Vegas to reset it back to factory defaults.

When I click the track fx, I get a “Plug-in-chooser”. I had presets in V5, and didn’t delete any to my knowledge. I did delete V5 after V6 was installed.
I tried the “ctrl-shift” through out the entire start-up, and no changes, to anything.

Add the effects back in. Then right-click the track header and choose the option to save the defaults.

The FX available don’t seem to be named the same as the 3 that used to be as the default.
For example……I don’t see a “Track Compressor”.
Could you please tell me which 3 should be the “default”? I realize this can be a personal choice, but I would like to start from “stock default”.

Track Noise Gate, Track EQ, Track Compressor.
I have heard of instances where uninstalling Vegas 5 removed some audio effects. You may try installing (or reinstalling) Vegas 6.0d.

I realize these are the default, Track Noise Gate, Track EQ, Track Compressor
but, i cant find them by these names in the fx choices.

Then uninstalling Vegas 5 removed them. Try reinstalling Vegas 6.0d to see if it will bring them back.

I re-instaled V6.0d and said yes-replace all. No changes at all. Even Excalibur is still installed.

I’m afraid you’ll need to ask Sony the proper procedure to bring them back.
