Audio Fine in Viewer, But TOO QUIET in Timeline!
Hey guys, having a bit of an issue with my video project.
There is one particular clip that I want to simply drag only the audio from into the timeline. When the clip is brought into the viewer window, it plays back perfectly normal.
However, when I drag the audio down into the timeline, for some reason it is very, very quiet. Even when I go in and increase the levels all the way up, it is still very quiet.
Now, I’ve tried dragging this audio into Soundtrack Pro, but even here it plays perfectly normal. I re-saved the clip as an .aiff file, as I thought this would fix the issue. Unfortunately, same thing happens still.I remember something very similar happening to me when I was working in I-Movie 09. However, all I would have to do is right click on that portion of audio and select ‘Normalize Clip Volume’. Now, I have no idea what this means, but doing that made my volume levels much more acceptable and normal.
Is there a way to do this in FCP to an INDIVIDUAL audio clip in the timeline? Or is this not even the issue at hand? I’m very confused, and any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I am including a picture of my sequence settings just in case it helps the cause:
