  • audio fader with keyboard?

Is there a way to fade audio in the mixer using the keyboard? I know I could buy a control surface. I have a Griffin Powermate, which would be a nice fader, but I’m not finding a way to use it either.

    Thanks!

No way to do that. Buy a mixer that interfaces?

Nope. You use the mouse in the audio mixing window in the “Tools” menu.

I’ve heard good reports about this

    Alpha Track

Probably the smallest, cheapest option for FCP.

Thanks! This looks great! Using a mouse isn’t bad, but I’m using a trackball with my MBP, which is good for tight spaces, but not great for perfectly smooth fades.
