Hello, I’m finishing a short film in Premiere Pro 1.5. I’ve been listening to it with headphones from the computer and it sounds great, before and after exporting back into Premiere Pro. And, when I burn a DVD and play it back on my computer through the headphones it sounds the same. When I play it on my TV through headphones, it still sounds great, BUT when I listen through the TV speakers (stereo) it sounds canned.

Premiere Pro exports audio to Windows Wave Form and the current Adobe Encoder audio settings are Windows Media Audio 9.2.
Any of you know how to export audio from Premiere Pro to DVD that’ll sound good on a TV? I assume if it sounds canned on a TV, then in a small theater it would also sound canned.
    Thanks Raymond

Are you sure your TV isn’t set to surround 5.1, or one of those “spacious” sound settings, that’s usually the issue.

Hi Vince, I just checked my TV speaker set up. The TV was set on an outside speaker setting and I was using the TV speakers. When I switched to “outside speakers off” the sound was much better. I’ll have to re-adjust, the audio mix, but that seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks for your help – Raymond
