    Hi,

I’m in the middle of editing a Premiere project & all of a sudden, the audio goes silent when I play what I’ve got in the timeline. The source clips have no problems with audio dropping out, all media is properly linked, and the waveforms are still there. The timeline audio had no problems when I was working on this a couple days ago, either.

It started randomly last night after I’d been editing for a few hours and is still happening today. Most (but not all) of these clips in the timeline have multiple volume filters and a DeNoiser filter applied. But, again, I had those same filters on last night and in the days before and there were no problems. If I stop it and then start playing again, sometimes the audio plays, and sometimes not. But even if it plays again, it just drops out again a few frames or seconds later.

I’m running CS6 on an early 2011 MacBook Pro with OSX 10.9.4. All clips were shot on a Canon DSLR & the sequence is set to match the DSLR settings (23.97 fps, 48000 hz audio sample rate). Not sure whether it’s my system or something I did wrong. Any ideas?

All help & suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks!

    [Kit Reiner] “OSX 10.9.4.”

I have had problems too. A restart fixes it. What audio card are you using? And are Audio Hardware settings in Premiere set to that hardware?
