I’m capturing my video in Vegas and the video is fine but my audio is having drop out and I tried recapturing and I get the drop outs in the same spot every time. The mini DV tape is fine, I’ve used three different cameras to capture with and I get the same thing each time. I had a friend tell me to disconnect my internet cable and turn off my “windows firewall” and the “Automatic Updates” when I’m capturing and I’ve been doing this each time but now I’m getting audio drop outs still and I’m not sure what else to do.

Try disabling your anti-virus software as well.
If that doesn’t work, try capturing with Windows MovieMaker.
If that doesn’t work, try capturing on another computer.
If it still doesn’t work, your tape has a bad spot on it at that point and nothing you can do will work.
