  • Audio drifting out of sync on Avid MXF exports

    Hi
I am using Resolve 10 to create DNXHD45 media for offline in avid.
Everything was going great until I checked the media in Avid and found that on long interview
clips the camera audio starts in sync and then drifts out of sync. My original footage is XAVC from the F55.
I found a reference online to this being a bug with that “should be fixed” in V11.
Has anybody else run into this? Can anyone confirm if this is a bug and whether or not it has been fixed in a later version of 10 (I’m using the paid version of 10.1.5.013) or V11.
Is V11 ready for prime time?
I’m starting a big project and I wan’t to make sure I have no sync issues moving forward.
    Thanks
    Chris

I just realized that the problem is not just on the exports, but is showing up on the playback of clips
directly in Resolve. I can’t believe that I am the only one having this issue with a popular camera like the F55?…

Is your audio coming from a separate recording device, or embedded?

    Embedded camera audio.
I discovered that this is a bug that was fixed in V11.
Upgraded to V11beta2 and so far – so good…

glad you got it to work. If your external audio is the wrong sample rate, or has been converted incorrectly, you will get the same issue you are describing.
