    Hey,

I’ve got a strange problem with my audio in Pr CS5, or at least i think i do.
all the audio works just fine wherever I play it in, even when I double click the file in the bin and
it previews in the window. But as soon as I drag it into the timeline it goes silent.
It does peak on the audio meter though. I just can’t hear it.

It happend just this week, I never had this issue before.
Any suggestions? It’s kinda hard to edit like this.

    Thanks,

    Hi Kevin,

What type of sound card are you using? Is this a stereo sequence?

Also, check your audio output mapping in your preference and make sure that it is set to the correct output.

    Hey Kaptis,

Thanks for your answer, al my settings were OK, both output mapping, audio settings aswel as the settings on the mac itself. It turns out that I used de 1080P sequence preset of blackmagic design, and apparently if you do not have a blackmagic audio card or something it just won’t play our audio.

Didn’t think that it would be an issue.

    Thanks anyway, problem solved.
