Audio Distortion (Not Your Grandpa’s Clipping Though)
Recorded this with a Sony NEX-VG10, which has no manual audio control. Despite having the lav mics set to -30db sensitivity it still recorded way too hot. Result are waveforms that look like this…
The DeClipper only detects a dozen or so bad samples per 10 seconds (even with the tolerance at 20%), and I’m not having any luck with the FFT filter either.
Any suggestions for how to repair this audio?

The only product I know oh that has a chance at resurrecting clipped files is the Declipper in RX, which may also be available as their plugin in suite, but it’s not a guaranteed solution either.
