  audio disappears in Vegas 8

  I am working with M2t files coming off of a G-Tech 500 Gb drive, some of the files will lose audio when placed on the timeline. Others will lose audio while sitting on the timeline. I can look at clips on the Media Manager tab and all is fine, but when I go to the timeline things get whacky. Any thoughts???
