  Audio Delay Problems

  We use an AJA io breakout box, with a G5 running FCP 4.5, to get video and audio to and from our D-Beta decks.

  Our settings are: Sequence – 10 bit NTSC 48 kHz, Device Control – AjA lo LD RS-422 NTSC, ProIO-SD 29.97 – 10 bit, ProIO out for audio.

  Recently, we have had troubles editing to tape. The video will be about one second ahead of the audio. We will stop the edit, try again, sometimes this corrects the problem. Other times it may take a few attempts. There are even times when we shut everything down and even that can be hit or miss.

  The media is being stored on a firewire drive – G-raid 500.

  Any suggestions for a solution are welcome.
