  • Audio data rate option missing in CS6?

I am exporting a :30 commercial that I cut entirely in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6. When exporting I select the tab for Audio. I am able to choose the codec (AAC) and the Basic Audio Sample Rate (44.1) and Channel (Stereo). The drop down does not include anything else. In previous versions of Premiere I have been able to set the data rate. Is this a glitch or will I no longer be able to increase my audio data rate in Premiere Pro CS6?

Are you exporting MOV? As far as I can remember, you were never able to set the audio bitrate within Premiere, at least not the last few versions.

As a simple solution you could export as .h264 which allows greater control, then rewrap the file as an MOV with something like https://www.squared5.com/

At that point, the streams aren’t recompressed, they’re just taken out of an MPEG container and put in an MOV container.
