I have come across a problem in premiere pro. it is only happening on a few certain clips. I play the clip in the preview window and after the first 10-15 seconds the audio begins to crackle. This only seems to happen in premiere. It plays perfectly fine in VLC?

Can anyone help. it is only effecting a few clips.

    Hi Christopher,

    Premiere version?

Some earlier Premiere versions had issues with certain files such as mp3. I usually recommend converting those to wav before importing.

I’m using 5.0.3 its the actual sound file from my 60d. 99% of the other clips are fine. It is just this one clip that none of the adobe software seems to like. after 10 seconds the sound just cuts out and begins crackling and buzzing (a bit like white noise)

In quicktime/VLC it plays perfect the whole way through.

VLC will play just about anything. It could be a corrupted file or sample rate issues . Try converting it in Soundbooth first and see if that help
