    I could not find the basic audio compressor filter anywhere. Does FCP X even have this or I have to use other programs to compress the audio so that it evens out?

    Their automatic magic wand is just not mature yet. It adds more noise and artifacts.

    There are plenty in the Audio/Levels section of the Effects panel. I really like the Multipressor……

    Fcpx has several compression options from basic compressors to complex multi-frequency versions. Under levels in the audio effects section.

    Thanks. Found it. Also, I’m curious to know where can I find a basic hum remover filter from noisy XLR mics? It’s not obvious and could it be under a different filter name?
