    I shoot a rock band t with my HDV Camera using camera mic.The audio is clipping. How can i fix the clipping? Thanks in advance.

    Sorry.
    If the clipping is severe, there’s not a lot you can do.

    There are many digital audio apps that do offer a “de-clipping” function, but they can only do so much.

    And see several apps that feature the “de-clipping” function.

    Several thoughts:

    1. It’s most likely that the mic was overdriving the mic input. It’s also possible that the mic element itself was being overdriven. If the element is being overdriven, you’re pretty much done with that mic for these sorts of shoots.

    2. If it’s not the element, and you’re in manual gain adjustment mode try reducing the input gain to the camera or try using the auto gain function.
