Audio Clicks and Pops but no indication of the problem in the waveform
Hi there, I’m using Apple Final Cut Studio. Using an .mp3 file for my audio. I have sent the file to Soundtrack Pro and analysed it for pops and clicks and got rid of them (even though they weren’t appearing on the waveform or in playback on STP only on FCP). Does anybody have any idea what’s causing this problem?
Would anybody like a peanut?

This is your problem.
This is the section of the manual that tells you not to do this.
“Audio Formats to Avoid
The following formats and audio data formats should be avoided when editing in Final Cut Pro because they require real-time processing for playback:Any file containing compressed formats such as MP3, AAC, and Apple Lossless Codec
QuickTime movies containing compressed audio, such as MPEG-4 and H.264 files
Multiplexed video and audio streams such as MPEG-2 program streams and DV Stream files (This is one of the formats iMovie can create during capture.)”

You mean there’s a manual and it’s like in English and everything?

…and it’s right there when you hit the Help tab inside Final Cut…
