  • Audio click at end of track in aaf export

The audio engineer mixing our shows is telling us that every clip, when dragged out to the end, has an audible click on the last frame/samples. I’m not hearing them on the Premiere timeline.

This is more problematic on the music tracks, since I usually don’t use an out point on those clips.

I’m creating an aaf from premiere 9.0 and he’s mixing in pro tools.

Anybody aware of this problem or know a workaround?

I have not heard of it. You could try putting a 2-3 frame audio fade at the end of the clip and send a test clip. That solved the click issue when it happened in my timelines..

    Thanks Vince
Sure, I can do that but that’s not really fixing the problem. I could also make sure to add an out point to my audio clip.

The Audio guy is saying that the click is only a couple samples long and not really audible while mixing but ounce exported, that click is loud and clear.

It’s as if Premiere is trying to compensate the missing samples and filling them with noise. (Don’t know if that makes sense)

I guess I’ll file a bug report and hope this gets fixed soon…
