audio capture issues
recently I have been having audio issues when capturing dv footage in FCP 5.1(mac os x). The audio from the DV tapes seems to be breaking up during capture and even when played in FCP. Video is fine. I thought the problem was the source tapes or the deck, but when my co-worker captures these same tapes in his Casablanca editing system, they sound fine. This has only been happenning recently, and i haven’t changed the settings.(firewire NTSC/ DV NTSC 48khz). This happens on both final cut workstations we have, but not when played directly through the dv deck connected to a monitor, or our in other edting programs. Anyone have a clue? i’d greatly appreciate anyone’s help. Thank You.
