    ladies, gentlemen,

Sorry if the following has been addressed recently.

The thing is that I’m having some serious problems with the Wave Hammer Compressor. When activating it on the master bus, I get unwanted soft audio bleeps and glitches. When I switch of the compressor, the glitches are gone. I however want to continue using the compressor. Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong here?

    Thanks a million in advance,

    Barend Jasper

That’s a well known issue, when you last updated Sound Forge, or perhaps Vegas, wave hammer reverted back to demo mode, bleeps. You can check their forums for the solution. It entails removing old directories and some registry entries.
    Good luck,
    Dirk

FWIW, we always use Wavehammer on *tracks* rather than the Master bus for this reason.

Yes, one can put compressors on each track. But I like to compress the final master as well. What’s wrong with that if I may ask?

    Thanks,

Like you said, and I confirmed, it just doesn’t seem to work as well. I can’t be more specific because I haven’t tried it in ages. Maybe I was getting the same thing you are. I dunno, but since it’s not really necessary, I just don’t do it.
