  Hi,

  I’ve recently had some footage (shot with a HD Varicam onto DVCPRO tapes) transferred onto my hard drive by a professional video transfer company. They transferred the footage from the tapes to their massive hard drive and from there the files were imported into my capture scratch folder in FCP Documents, where, as Quicktime thumbs, they play perfectly. However, when they are imported into my Browser and I bring them into the Viewer to review, I’m losing track 2 on the Timeline and I get the vision but no sound. The audio tab title in the Viewer goes from (Stereo 1a, 2a), to (MONO 1a) as soon as I double-click to bring the clips into the Viewer and no sound is apparent on Track 1. Have checked all the presets and all seems normal. I have dragged a clip to the Timeline to see if that makes a difference but no go. They run perfectly on the video company’s computer but they are running Studio 2 (FCP 6, as I understand it). I wonder if anybody has any idea whether the fact my FCP is older (4.5) could be the cause? Or any other ideas?
