When I began editing my DV footage in the timeline, the audio and video were linked and I was able to set my two mono channels to stereo pair. At one point I had to unlink the tracks to make some audio adjustments. Now, regardless of whether the green “linked selection” icon in the upper right of the timeline is on or off, the link and stereo pair commands under the Modify menu remain dimmed and cannot be accessed. As far as I know, I have read everything and tried everything including restarting the program.

While it is possible to set a SINGLE clip to link and stereo pair, I cannot even access this commannd to link two adjacent clips. This is a rather awkward way to work. Much thanks to anyone with a suggestion to get this feature working again.
