    Hi,

I have no idea why my audio and video clips are no longer linked when I pull them onto my timeline from the viewer or from the bin. It is not a linked selection problem I have the linked selection on, however when I pull a clip across it is only video or only audio dependent on if it is put in the video line or audio line. I must have adjusted a setting by accident or maybe I am just being really dumb and it is something really simple but I can’t figure it out. Please help, many thanks,

    Sean

Have you tried reimporting the clips into the browser and using those? I know it may be a hassle depending on how much footage you have and organization, but that might work.

If you still have the same problem, then I say it’s a settings issue.

Try deleting the Final Cut Pro prefs file located in Library/preferences/final cut pro user data. BUT BEFORE YOU DO, copy and paste it to your desktop, just to save it incase this doesn’t work.

Final cut will automatically create a new one when you restart it.

    Hope all works out.

    Hi,
i had the same problem and found an easy solution.
Try to toggle the “Linked Selection” ON on the upper right corner of the timeline, then put the clip again on the timeline.

    It worked to me
