I’m about ready to pull my hair out. I’ve got an ATI All-In-Wonder card with the (7200 Rage Theater Chip) that I’m using to capture video. Recording codecs that I’ve tried are Huffyuv 2.11, UYVY, DV Video Encoder, among others. (I’m recording AVI, have tons of HDD space for 640×480 uncompressed AVI for editing). Audio is recorded PCM 48k 16bit Stereo. *usually*

The problem comes when I open the video file (which works great in Media Player Classic) in After Effects 6.5 or Premiere Pro 1.5. The video will play fine – the audio works in one or the other. For example, PCM 48k 16b Stereo works in After Effects, but Premiere completely ignores it (in the final preview – opening the file into the clip window works great). If I change to 44.1k, then it works great in Premiere but After Effects doesn’t see it at all.

The reason I’m switching to an all-Adobe setup was to PREVENT things like this. I want one codec that I can use that both programs will happily utilize so that I can get video to DVD in the quickest method possible.

    What am I missing?
